More Discovery Time!
We love going to different classes to participate in a wide range of activities. We are learning to manage ourselves, participate and contribute and relate to others. We are reaching for the STARS!!!
Our colloborative group sessions
We had a great time choosing which activities to do with regard to camouflage or stick insects. We could go to Mrs CT to create a diarama habitat for an animal, to Mr M to create a stick insect life cycle or to Mrs W to create a camouflaged habitat for an animal eg. kiwi, gecko or stick insect. We love being able to choose what we learn and look forward to our collaborative sessions every Monday afternoon!!!!
Briar
Briar came to visit us. She is Sam's playful new puppy. We asked lots of questions using Why, What, Where, When, Which and How? We found out about all the jobs Sam does at home to look after Briar.

Our first collaborative group session
Today we chose which activity we would like to do linked to our big books - Stick Insects and Camouflage. We could go to Mr Matheson to create a life cycle of a Stick Insect, to Mrs C-T to create a diorama of animal habitats or to Mrs White to create a camouflaged environment for an animal. Here are some photos of the camouflage group work.
R11 co-operative activities
These are the new animals that we created. We each chose an animal and it's distinguishing feature eg. giraffe's long neck and combined the four we chose to create a new animal. The results are stunning and creative!
